Trust and security in the cloud

pam in the Sunday TelegraphOnce again, nervousness about cloud technology is in the news. A survey that asked a range of local and central government organisations about their cloud applications aspirations, habits and results for 2015, has shown that public sector organisations are still anxious about using cloud technology.

With nearly half of all public sector respondents to the survey saying that security is their highest concern this seems to be a bad case of deja vu – it seems that whether you’re Jennifer Lawrence or the UK government or public sector cloud security concerns are top of the list of worries.

It’s a great shame that the 48% of people that were surveyed for this report aren’t aware of just how secure working on a cloud platform is – particularly in comparison to the way that many are working today. For example, the Information Commissioner’s Office reports that currently 90% of data breaches are still paper based.

Our customers, the people that trust pam, know that their work on the platform is always safe and secure due to our PSN accreditation and other confidence and trust building measures.
