Sussex Police Authority gets ready for Police and Crime Commissioner role with pam

Sussex Police Authority has joined West Midlands Police Authority in using pam, predominantly for its work under the Police and Crime Commissioner.  The authority was already well set with its transition work for the PCC but even at this late stage still sees value in pam helping address that exercise more efficiently. It is freeing up staff and partners to collaborate on delivering the work using the pam change management features, and addressing key areas such as stakeholder management, risk identification and treatment with specialist pam decision support tools.

Going forward pam enables the PCC to accelerate its commissioning competence and equip both the staff and partners with all the pam functionality to work better together.  Whether it is commissioning, co-commissioning, service provider engagement or wider partner collaboration pam has the capability built in to make the role of the PCC easier and more effective.  From the initial demand analysis, service design, sourcing and delivery through to payment by results and shared performance management the platform symbolises what a PCC wants to do, which is get closer to its stakeholders and deliver better results for the community it serves.

pam can also help deliver collaboration success with the new Police and Crime Panel for aspects such as strategic policing requirement, PCP member induction and in life governance.
