Collaboration and technology is key to Modernising Justice

I was unable to attend the Modernising Justice conference yesterday.  Ironically its because we were in the very process of doing what it said on the tin with some of our police and probation customers.  They are actively transforming their organisations and partnerships with new ways of working underpinned by pam and our complementary services.

damian greenHowever it was most encouraging to read Damian Green’s key note speech when he made a few key points reinforcing that our customers (and we) are on the right track to help modernise justice. Things he mentioned included:

  • “my ambition is for each force to be able to interact seamlessly with the rest of the Criminal Justice System”
  • “all agencies need to work collaboratively together…….we will only realise that vision if all agencies and partners within the CJS fully embrace change and work together to make it happen”

The work we are doing up and down the country with police forces, law enforcement agencies and their partners as well as probation and local authorities, and most recently health, demonstrates that we are delivering this vision in practice with pam.

So far the future looks very positive for those customers who are also embracing wider change mentioned by the Minister, beyond technology itself.  He said In order to truly reform the CJS and deliver end-to-end digitisation, we need to change the way we think and look beyond borders to work together.”

At Alliantist, we also focus on outcomes, beyond using the great technology itself, and can help with communications, engagement and the psychology of change.  Its a powerful mix fused with a depth of partnering expertise that is also valued highly by our customers.

We are proud to have been awarded police innovation funds with some of our customers to help them drive that transformation.  We therefore look forward to them and pam being highlighted by the Minister in a future speech of how the transformation is taking place on the ground around partnerships and really joining up the CJS!
