Software Leaders Join Forces in the Fight Against Serious & Organised Crime

Charter Systems, market leaders in the field of Source & Covert Authorities Management and Alliantist, specialists in partnering and collaboration, have today announced a strategic alliance to support the battle against serious and organised crime.

This type of crime is estimated to cost the UK £24 billion per annum and has tragic consequences for many affected by it. The challenge is increasing year on year with criminals attempting to stay one step ahead of law enforcement agencies. Those same agencies also have issues in working well together especially due to technology barriers as Theresa May explained in her recent speech to the NCA Leadership summit.

Alliantist is the organisation behind pam, the UK’s 1st and only cloud based, pan government accredited software for restricted IL3 information sharing and multi agency collaboration.  The Charter Systems solution has been delivered in IL3, IL4 and IL5 environments across their extensive customer base in many areas including: Covert authorities management, OCGM, Intelligence gathering, TSU, prison authorities, tasking and disclosure.

Following the establishment of the National Crime Agency and the ongoing development of the UK’s Regional Organised Crime Unit’s (ROCU), this union of best of breed technologies represents a significant step forward in addressing serious and organised crime. Together the specialists in their respective fields, who’s combined customer based includes 75% of UK policing, are exploring solutions to the complexities posed by the 12 core capabilities laid down by Chief Constable Mick Creedon, National Lead for Serious & Organised Crime.

Speaking about the initiative, Alliantist CEO Mark Darby said “This alliance naturally builds on the work we are doing with our customers. We are really excited to be working with another market leader and collaboratively focused organisation like Charter Systems, it’s central to our own partnering philosophy and the combined proposition will deliver even more towards lowering that £24billion cost of organised crime.”

Charter Systems CEO Paul Clark said: “When considering the challenges faced by the ROCU, we wanted to find a partner who understood both collaboration and operational change. Alliantist’s capability profile fits very well with Charter Systems operational expertise in Covert policing”
