Salford City Council and Greater Manchester Police overcome challenges by adopting pam

An article published in the Guardian through its Public Leaders Network demonstrates how Salford City Council and Greater Manchester Police are using pam to help forge a stronger community.  No stronger (recent) symbol of tragedy exists in society than that of the Anuj Bidve murder in Ordsall, Salford on Boxing Day 2011.  The lead partners are intent on transforming that community and the article demonstrates how they are working together to do so.  Penned by Alliantist Chief Executive Mark Darby, it draws from his wealth of experience in partnering and summarises how to overcome the three core challenges in multi agency working.

These are:

  1. having the ability to be a good partner yourself
  2. overcoming old and different ways of working
  3. addressing conflicts in priorities

Points 1 and 2 are effectively addressed by following the principles laid down in Alliance Brand, the book written by Mark, with 2 and 3 are enabled more efficiently by adopting pam, the platform for change and relationship success.
