An article published in the Guardian through its Public Leaders Network demonstrates how Salford City Council and Greater Manchester Police are using pam to help forge a stronger community. No stronger (recent) symbol of tragedy exists in society than that of the Anuj Bidve murder in Ordsall, Salford on Boxing Day 2011. The lead partners are intent on transforming that community and the article demonstrates how they are working together to do so. These are:

- overcoming old and different ways of working
- addressing conflicts in priorities
