Linked Work

pam provides a powerful set of tools to allow you to show how all your work is related.

This guide describes how to use the Linked Work feature.

Linked Work is currently available in Projects, Activities, Tracks, Track Items, Accounts, Groups and Subjects. It allows you to create a link to an existing initiative in pam, or to create a new one and link the two together automatically.

You can link Initiatives, Activities and Track Items them to other Initiatives you’re a team member of. For example, link a Project to a related Subject, Group, Account or even another Project. Connections will show in both the Initiative where you created the connection and the Initiative that you linked it to.

Example of how to use Linked Work

The possibilities are endless, but here are just a few examples:

  • Link an offender to their offender management Project
  • Link the PDP Project of a member of your team to a Group you share with them
  • Link suggestions recorded in Track items to the Accounts of organisations who suggested them
Domestic Abuse Commissioning Project

Pictured above is a Domestic Abuse Commissioning Project showing the Linked Work page, you can see that the administrator of the Project has added the Drug and Alcohol Delivery area because it’s directly related to the commissioning work going on. This means that team members now have instant access to it from the Project, and can see that it has significant relevance.
